Linux Tutorial - How To Install Picasa 3.0 On CentOS 6.2

In the previous tutorial I discussed "how to install on CentOS 6.2 JShoot v2.1.0.2", still using CentOS, on this occasion I will give you a simple tutorial "how to install Picasa 3.0 on CentOS 6.2". Picasa application is used as a tool to display, edit and upload images into your blog / website. The following steps.

1. Download Picasa 3.0 rpm package. Use google search, and if you're difficult to find, please email me or comment me and I will give you the rpm package.

2. Open terminal, and type this command

rpm -i picasa-3.0-current.i386.rpm

3. Maybe you can see this error message

error: Failed dependencies:


libesd.so.0 is needed by picasa-3.0.5744-02.i386

4. To solve this error, please install required package "libesd.so.0" first. Use this command

yum install libesd.so.0

5. After finish, retype the command for install Picasa

rpm -i picasa-3.0-current.i386.rpm

6. Done. And your Picasa application already installed. You can find your application on Applications - Graphics - Picasa
